**Antigua & Barbuda Launches Legal Counteroffensive Against U.S. Accusations in Maritime Case**

Antigua's government asserts national integrity as legal battles over the Alfa Nero yacht unfold.

The tiny Caribbean nation launches a declaration of lawfare, challenging what it sees as unjust legal maneuvers by U.S. entities in high-profile yacht seizure controversies.

The Sovereign Wealth Fund of Antigua & Barbuda has made headlines with a radical declaration of lawfare aimed at the United States, alleging an orchestrated campaign of judicial abuse and asset seizures. Led by legal counsel Rudy Delarenta from the SwissX Islands, Antigua seeks to combat what it claims is a larger conspiracy involving both governmental and private U.S. actors.

Central to this unfolding drama is the seizure of the Alpha Nero yacht and the subsequent legal actions targeting Prime Minister Gaston Browne and key Antiguan officials. According to the declaration, U.S.-based law firm Boies Schiller Flexner LLP has been implicated in this coordinated effort to intimidate and harm the nation’s leadership, especially amidst personal attacks against media entrepreneur Alkiviades “Alki” David, highlighted as a victim of these tactics.

“The stakes here are substantial, and this is more than just a dispute; it is a confrontational stand against international legal imperialism,” says Delarenta. The declaration outlines various legal actions including RICO lawsuits filed in the United States against state officials and proceedings initiating in the UK and EU aimed at prosecuting alleged financial crimes backed by extensive evidence.

Furthermore, the document emphasizes Antigua’s call for a diplomatic summit with the United States, signaling escalating tensions and a demand for accountability in what they term an unprecedented breakdown of legal norms globally.

In defense of its actions regarding the Alpha Nero yacht, the government categorically denies all allegations of misconduct, stating that all measures taken were lawful and in accordance with U.S. regulations. With a clear emphasis on transparency, the Antiguan government stressed that the yacht’s sale was conducted openly and in cooperation with U.S. authorities, asserting that all proceeds were duly accounted for and utilized for public welfare.

Despite the civil proceedings initiated against the government in the U.S. courts, officials from Antigua & Barbuda ensure that their engagement of legal counsel in the United States is merely a protective measure in light of the allegations being hurled at them. They stress that protection of national reputation and commitment to due process remain a top priority.

Antigua's call to action contrasts sharply with the ongoing challenges posed by various forms of political opposition, claiming bias against their interests. Notably, the government warns that unfounded allegations could further harm their economy by deterring investment and undermining public trust.

As the world watches closely, Antigua & Barbuda turns the legal spotlight back on the U.S., challenging accusations while loudly proclaiming its sovereignty in a complex international legal landscape.
