Rod Stewart Returns to Glastonbury as 2025 Legends Slot Headliner

Iconic rock star Rod Stewart set to delight fans with classic hits at Glastonbury 2025, marking his triumphant return.

Legendary British musician Rod Stewart has officially been announced as the headliner for Glastonbury's prestigious legends slot in 2025, a significant 23 years after his last performance at the iconic festival. Known for his timeless hits such as "Maggie May," "Hot Legs," "I Don't Wanna Talk About It," and "Sailing," Stewart is poised to deliver an unforgettable show in the coveted Sunday afternoon teetime slot.

At 79 years of age, the rock icon expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, "I’m proud, ready, and more than able to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury." He will become the first artist to have both headlined the festival and held the legends billing, a milestone in Glastonbury's storied history.

Stewart last graced the Glastonbury stage in 2002 alongside prominent acts like Coldplay and Stereophonics. During that performance, he charmed a cautious audience who warmed to him following a string of his popular songs. That year, he remarked on the good behavior of the crowd, suggesting that it would ensure Glastonbury's future for decades.

The festival, scheduled for June 25-29, 2025, at Worthy Farm in Somerset, has already generated excitement with rumored acts including Sam Fender, Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Wonder, and Eminem. Tickets for the event have sold out, with a limited number of resale tickets expected to be available in the new year. The rise in ticket prices from £97 during Stewart's last performance to £373.50 today highlights the growing popularity of the festival, which continues to attract major musical talent.
