Final Reunion Concert for Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath Announced
Heavy metal legends Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath will perform together for one last time to support charitable causes.
In a highly anticipated event, music fans will witness the grand reunion of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath at a fundraising festival at Villa Park on July 5. This concert, titled "Back To The Beginning," will mark the first time the original lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—has played together in 20 years. The festival will celebrate the band's legacy by featuring numerous artists they have inspired, including legendary names like Metallica and Slayer.
Sharon Osbourne expressed excitement about the event, emphasizing its significance for Osbourne, who has faced health challenges, including Parkinson's disease and spinal injuries. "He feels there's been no full stop to say goodbye to his friends and fans," Sharon noted, affirming that this concert will serve as that closure.
Musical director Tom Morello, along with other rock icons like Billy Corgan and Slash, will create a supergroup for part of the show, blending together various styles and performances. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acorn Children's Hospice.
Black Sabbath, pioneers of heavy metal since their formation in 1968, last performed to a sold-out crowd in 2017. Ozzy expressed heartfelt gratitude to fans, highlighting their unwavering support throughout the years. This reunion promises to be a memorable closure for one of rock history’s most influential bands.
