Chinese Student Faces New Allegations of Sexual Assault by Over 20 Women
After a recent conviction for raping multiple women, Zou Zhenhao is now facing additional claims from numerous victims.
More than 20 women have now reported allegations against Zou Zhenhao, a 28-year-old Chinese student convicted last month for drugging and raping 10 women in London and China. The Metropolitan Police announced that they received 23 new reports after Zou's conviction, indicating that some women lived in Britain while others hailed from China and various regions worldwide. Authorities suspect Zou has attacked over 50 women based on the incriminating evidence found in hundreds of videos on his devices.
Zou, who pursued a Ph.D. at University College London from 2019 to 2024, allegedly used dating apps like Bumble and popular Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat and Little Red Book to connect with his victims. He specifically targeted Chinese students residing in London, often meeting them at parties and social gatherings before luring them to his apartments.
On March 5, a jury convicted Zou on 11 counts of rape along with charges related to drug possession for sexual assault, voyeurism, and extreme pornography. While two women bravely provided testimony during the trial, eight remain unidentified due to the drugging of the victims, which has led police to believe that many might not be fully aware of what transpired. Following the conviction, police actively encouraged any additional victims to reach out and share their experiences, highlighting the urgency of extending justice to all affected.
