The deceased individuals were a married couple and their adult son, whose bodies were discovered in their beds by a care provider on Tuesday, according to Spanish media reports. In addition to this tragic incident, the investigation extends to other potential fatalities linked to the blackout, including a woman in her fifties who died in a fire in Madrid, which may have been ignited by a candle during the outage. Thirteen other individuals required medical attention for smoke inhalation, with five needing hospitalization.
In Valencia, another woman, believed to be in her forties, reportedly passed away, raising questions regarding the impact of the power cut on her medical apparatus.
