Stanislav Carpiuc, a 26-year-old Romanian national, faces charges of conspiracy to commit arson with the intent to endanger life, following a series of fires in North London earlier this month.
The first fire occurred on May 12, outside a residence previously owned by Starmer in Kentish Town, where he and his family resided until last year. Shortly before, on May 11, an additional blaze was reported at a property situated in the Islington area. The third incident involved the deliberate burning of a vehicle in Kentish Town, on May 8. Notably, the car, which once belonged to Starmer, had been sold to a neighbor, hence the connection.
Authorities have indicated that no injuries were reported, though significant damage was inflicted upon the Kentish Town house, which is currently rented out.
