Tragic Discovery: Scottish Businessman Found Dead in Kenyan Hotel

A Scottish executive who went missing in Nairobi has been confirmed dead, leaving his company and community in mourning.

Campbell Scott, 58, was last seen on February 16 while attending a conference at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi. Authorities have now identified his body, prompting an outpouring of grief from colleagues at Fico, a credit scoring firm where Scott served as a senior director.

Scott, who had been with Fico since 2014, had a significant impact on the company’s international Scores business. His death comes as a major shock, with a company spokeswoman expressing deep sadness over the loss of a beloved leader and friend. "We will miss his humour and kindness," she said, while asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time.

Originally from Fife, Scott had a solid foundation in education, having studied at Woodmill High School and Kirkcaldy Technical College. The JW Marriott, where he was staying, is located in Westlands, a prosperous Nairobi district.

In response to his disappearance, police launched an extensive search operation, with collaboration from Interpol. The UK Foreign Office has been contacted for further details regarding the investigation.
