Lil Nas X Denies Charges Following Arrest in Los Angeles

Rapper Lil Nas X, legally known as Montero Lamar Hill, has pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges after a bizarre incident in Los Angeles.

The rapper, known for hits like 'Old Town Road', faces four felony counts, including three counts of battery with injury to a police officer and one count of resisting arrest. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.

This unusual incident unfolded when police responded to reports of a nude man wandering along Ventura Boulevard. According to police reports, when the officers arrived, the artist charged at them.

Subsequently, he was taken to a hospital suspected of suffering from a possible overdose prior to the police involvement.

On Monday, Lil Nas X was arraigned in court, where his bail was set at $75,000. The BBC has sought comment from his representatives but has yet to receive a response.

Unverified videos and images have surfaced showing the artist wandering the streets during the incident, at one point performing rap lyrics while wearing nothing but white underwear and cowboy boots.

Following his release from jail over the weekend, the rapper is anticipated to release his new album, 'Dreamboy', later this year.

In addition to his musical career, Lil Nas X has made headlines for his advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights. He made history as the first openly gay man to win a Country Music Association award and has received numerous accolades, including Grammy Awards.
