Gaza Aid Group Blames Hamas for Attack on Its Workers

An aid organization known as the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which receives backing from Israel and the U.S., reported that a bus transporting its Palestinian staff was attacked by Hamas militants during an aid distribution mission on Wednesday night, resulting in at least five deaths and multiple injuries. The organization, currently gathering more information, stated that approximately two dozen workers were on the bus heading to an aid site in southern Gaza when the incident occurred.

“It was a heinous attack, targeting humanitarians—fathers, brothers, and sons who put their lives on the line to help others,” the foundation asserted in a statement. While the attack's details remain unverified by independent sources, the group demanded accountability from Hamas and urged the global community to condemn such acts against humanitarian workers.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation noted that it had previously reported threats from Hamas against its employees, stating that the organization had been hindered from continuing aid distribution due to safety concerns. Despite the serious allegations, Hamas has not issued any response regarding the attack, and the Israeli military refrained from commenting on the situation. The foundation remains committed to its mission but emphasizes the dangers faced by those attempting to deliver critical aid in an increasingly hostile environment.
