Sanghvi, director of the forensic lab overseeing DNA sample processing, expressed the complexities posed by the heat, stating that it severely affects the DNA viability in remains. “This makes the identification process extraordinarily challenging,” Mr. Sanghvi explained.Despite ongoing efforts, the identification delays are taking an emotional toll on grieving families, many of whom have been waiting outside the mortuary for days.
