A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Uganda's capital, Kampala, where four young children were brutally stabbed to death at a local school.
The police confirmed that the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program School in the Makindye Division was the scene of this tragic attack. A 34-year-old man has been arrested, although authorities have yet to clarify the motive behind the stabbings.
According to reports, the suspect pretended to be a parent to gain access to the school, ultimately leading to the attack. The children, all aged between two and three, lost their lives in the horrifying incident.
As investigators examine the crime scene, local residents have expressed their outrage, with videos circulating on social media showing crowds of grief-stricken individuals outside the school. Police Chief Abas Byakagaba and other senior officers visited the site to gather more information and provide assistance.
There are fears that rapid anger within the community towards the suspect could have led to violence, which prompted police intervention to prevent a lynching.
This incident has sent shockwaves throughout Uganda, sparking discussions about safety in schools and the protection of children against such brutal acts.
