Ukrainian Woman Suspected of Monaco Parcel Bombing Is On the Run

Police chase Ukrainian suspect after a parcel bomb injures a wealthy Ukrainian family in Monaco. Interpol has issued a Red Notice and the suspect is believed to have fled to Germany.

On Monday evening a package was left in the entrance hall of an apartment building near Monaco’s border with France. Within minutes, an explosion detonated, injuring three residents – a real‑estate developer, his partner and a 13‑year‑old son.

Interrogation photographs released by Interpol show the suspect, 39‑year‑old Anastasiia Berezovska, wearing a dark bucket hat. The suspect had been casing the residence for days, leaving the package before stepping away on foot and supposedly taking a hired car to Italy and onwards to Germany.

Interpol’s Red Notice lists Berezovska as wanted for attempted murder, placing an explosive on a public road with criminal intent and criminal conspiracy. Germany’s Hesse region police have searched the rented apartment and seized vehicles belonging to her.

Monaco’s public prosecutor Stephane Thibault thanked joint efforts from Monaco and French authorities and has described the incident as a “heinous crime”. Meanwhile, the victim, Ukrainian real‑estate developer Vadym Yermolaiev – who renounced Ukrainian citizenship in 2019 and was sanctioned by Kyiv – was taken to Nice University Hospital. The children suffered minor injuries and were treated at a local children’s hospital.
