In a CNN interview, former model Stacey Williams has come forward with allegations that former President Donald Trump groped her during a meeting at Trump Tower in New York City in 1993. Williams asserts the encounter occurred while she was in a relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein. She detailed the incident, stating, “The second he was in front of me, he pulled me into him, and his hands were just on me and didn’t come off.”
The Trump campaign has categorically dismissed Williams’ claims, referencing the timing of her allegations as suspect, as they were disclosed during an event supporting Kamala Harris, rival Democratic nominee. Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated, “These accusations... announced on a Harris Campaign call two weeks before the election, are unequivocally false.”
Williams recounted feeling frozen and described the experience as “an out of body experience” while Trump allegedly maintained physical contact throughout the interaction. Following the incident, she claims to have ended her relationship with Epstein, who faced multiple sexual crime allegations before his death in 2019.
This revelation adds to the multitude of accusations against Trump regarding sexual misconduct, a topic that has resurfaced consistently since he entered the political arena in 2016. Most notably, in 2023, he was found liable for sexually abusing E Jean Carroll, resulting in Carroll winning defamation lawsuits against him.
As the 2024 election approaches, these allegations may play a crucial role in the political landscape, as both sides reinforce their narratives amid ongoing scrutiny.
