Fire officials were alerted around 4:40 p.m. and arrived within an hour. Reports indicated that approximately 300 people were inside the building during the fire. Responders successfully rescued 240 individuals, while an additional 70 evacuated independently. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported; however, around 30 people suffered from minor injuries, including smoke inhalation.
Local news footage illustrated the lower levels of the building engulfed in flames and thick black smoke billowing from the windows. Witnesses described the rooftop scene where individuals awaited rescue. The fire reportedly began on the first floor, though officials have yet to determine its cause. The structure includes five underground levels.
