Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Announce Their Separation

Pop star Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom have officially parted ways, as confirmed by US media outlets, marking the end of their six-year relationship. The couple, who first started dating in 2016, share a four-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove.

Their representatives disclosed that the couple has been reevaluating their relationship for several months with a primary focus on co-parenting. "They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect," the statement read. This announcement comes in light of growing public interest in their personal lives.

Perry, 40, and Bloom, 48, initially separated in 2017 but later reconciled and got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019. The news of Perry's pregnancy was revealed in her music video for the song "Never Worn White", and she gave birth to their daughter later that same year. Notably, both stars are goodwill ambassadors for UNICEF, which has announced Daisy’s birth on their social media platforms.

The split follows a challenging year for Perry. Her new album, "143", and its lead single "Woman's World" did not meet the same success as her earlier work. Additionally, her current tour has faced slower ticket sales compared to previous concerts. Earlier this year, Perry, alongside other female celebrities, faced criticism after a space trip with Blue Origin, which she described as leaving her feeling "battered and bruised."
