Nigerian Government Takes Legal Action Against Senator Amid Controversial Allegations

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has been sued by the Nigerian government following her allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former governor Yahaya Bello regarding a purported plot to assassinate her. The government argues that her statements have defamed the politicians, who both deny the allegations. Akpoti-Uduaghan had previously accused Akpabio of sexual harassment and faced suspension from the Senate.

The Nigerian government is pressing charges against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan following her serious allegations against two key political figures, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Governor Yahaya Bello.
