Army Rescues Over 100 Survivors from Flood‑Damaged Hydropower Tunnel

In Rasuwa district, the Nepali army has been working around the clock to extricate more than 100 people trapped inside a submerged tunnel of a hydropower project.

Footage released by the prime minister’s office shows soldiers crawling across thick mud, carrying survivors to safety and searching for additional victims who may still be stuck.

The rescue is part of nationwide efforts following a deadly flood that has already claimed 475 lives across Nepal.
