The House Oversight Committee has released around 70 photos from the late Jeffrey Epstein's estate. This is part of a series of disclosures, with the total exceeding 95,000 images acquired by the committee. Among the new images are unsettling quotes from the book 'Lolita' inked across a woman’s body and redacted images of various women's passports.

This release arrives just hours before the Department of Justice's December 19 deadline for making files related to its investigation into Epstein available to the public.

These new images raise more questions about what exactly the Department of Justice has in its possession, commented Robert Garcia, the committee's ranking member.

The latest images include Epstein with academic Noam Chomsky on a private plane, a photo of Bill Gates next to a woman whose face has been blurred, and Steve Bannon in conversation with Epstein. The release aims to shed light on Epstein’s interactions with various powerful figures, though participation in these photos does not imply involvement in illegal activities, as many depicted individuals have stressed their non-complicity.

Democrats on the committee emphasized that these images were selected to promote transparency and to highlight the disturbing elements of Epstein’s life and his connections. Some images feature quotes from Vladimir Nabokov's 'Lolita,' a novel centered on manipulation and grooming, hastening concerns over Epstein's influences.

Included in the batch are also images of female identification documents from several countries, indicating the troubling contexts within which Epstein operated. The release of these photographs comes amid widespread calls for accountability, especially in light of the new Epstein Files Transparency Act, due to the increasing scrutiny of cases linked to Epstein's extensive network.
