Director Christopher Nolan had urged viewers to experience his three‑hour, 70 mm film in an IMAX theater, but a weekend leak on X saw a near‑full‑length clip go viral, amassing 2.1 million views in two and a half hours before the account was suspended.

Universal Studios immediately issued a takedown notice and halted the feed, asserting that it would pursue all appropriate legal remedies to protect its property rights.

The leak has not yet damaged the film’s gross, which earned $215 million worldwide in its opening weekend and climbed to $640 million total.
