A U.S. Secret Service agent assigned to protect former First Lady Jill Biden accidentally injured himself on Friday at Philadelphia International Airport. The incident, described as a 'negligent discharge' of his firearm, took place shortly before 9 a.m. while the agent was traveling in an unmarked car. Thankfully, Biden was not in the vicinity during the mishap. Philadelphia Police Officer Tanya Little reported that law enforcement responded quickly to assist the injured agent, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital. As confirmed by Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, the agent is currently stable and receiving treatment for his injuries. It is worth noting that the incident did not disrupt airport operations, as stated by Heather Redfern, public affairs manager for the city’s Department of Aviation.
