Stowaway Passenger Creates Chaos Again on Delta Return Flight
A stowaway's disruptive behavior on a Delta flight from Paris leads to significant delays for the return trip to New York.
The incident began with the same passenger who previously stowed away on a Delta Air Lines flight from New York to Paris. On Saturday, they caused chaos aboard Delta Flight 265, which was scheduled to return to John F. Kennedy International Airport from Charles de Gaulle Airport. As revealed by aviation officials, disturbances from this passenger resulted in the flight being delayed for over two hours after its scheduled departure time.
Morgan Durrant, a representative for Delta, confirmed the delay was due to an "unruly customer," who was subsequently removed from the aircraft by French authorities. This is not the first encounter with law enforcement for the traveler. Earlier in the week, the passenger evaded security measures to board Flight 264 from New York to Paris as a stowaway.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reported that this individual bypassed two identity checks, raising concerns about security protocols. Upon arrival in Paris, local police attended to the situation after receiving alerts from crew members about the passenger's unusual behavior, including moving from lavatory to lavatory without occupying a seat.
Although the incident has sparked various inquiries, the TSA and FBI have refrained from commenting, passing questions to Charles de Gaulle's authorities, who have yet to respond. The repercussions of this incident prompt serious reflections on aviation security and passenger safety protocols.
