British Man Arrested for Attempting Fictitious Wedding with Minor in Disneyland Paris

A British man was arrested in France for attempting to conduct a mock wedding with a nine-year-old girl while using a stolen identity. Authorities are questioning how a registered sex offender could book such an event at a major theme park.

A British man has been detained in France after allegedly trying to organize a mock wedding with a nine-year-old girl at Disneyland Paris. The incident took place early Saturday, before the park opened to the public, and was curtailed upon staff realizing the “bride” was a minor. French prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier stated that the police were informed and found the ceremony to be fictitious, intended for private filming with numerous unaware actors.

The primary suspect, a 39-year-old British citizen, reportedly used a forged Latvian identity and fake documents for the booking. According to Bladier, the individual was "professionally made-up to show a face totally different from his own." The man has been charged with offenses including fraud, identity theft, and money laundering, while also being classified as an assisted witness in an investigation related to the potential corruption of a minor.

This alarming episode has raised serious questions about how a registered sex offender gained access to organize a private event involving a child at one of the world's leading theme parks, drawing scrutiny toward the security measures in place at such major attractions.
