In a tragic event that has left the community in shock, an elderly man was killed and four individuals were injured in a knife attack at the HaMifratz Central train and bus station in Haifa, northern Israel. Authorities report that the attack was carried out by a 20-year-old Druze man, who was shot dead by security guards on-site.
The victim, approximately 70 years old, succumbed to his injuries after the violent assault which also left a 15-year-old boy and a couple in their 30s in serious condition, along with a 70-year-old woman sustaining moderate injuries, as confirmed by the Magen David Adom ambulance service.
Eyewitnesses recounted that the assailant arrived at the station via bus from Shfaram, a town located around 10 kilometers from Haifa, and began attacking passengers as soon as he disembarked.
