This incident marks the second significant knife attack in Germany within the same week. Earlier, a man was apprehended after allegedly injuring five people during a knife assault outside a bar in Bielefeld. Reports indicate that the suspect, a 35-year-old who arrived from Syria in 2023 and holds temporary protective status, expressed support for the Islamic State terrorist organization through a translation application during inquiries. Police discovered various knives and a bottle of gasoline in his possession at the scene, further raising concerns about threats to public safety.
