Despite the construction barriers, foot traffic around the fountain has not waned significantly. Visitors still choose to cast their coins, amounting to around 61,000 euros, during the restoration lull. Fabrizio Marchioni, who collects and counts the coins on behalf of the charity Caritas, noted that the allure of the fountain remains unscathed by construction activities.
