Heathrow Airport Power Outage: Firefighters Tackle Substation Blaze

In the early hours of March 21, 2025, a fire ignited at the North Hyde substation, drastically affecting power supply across western London. The flames resulted in outages for over 16,000 properties and triggered a massive response from the London Fire Brigade, who have deployed around 70 firefighters to manage the crisis.
