No evident signs of flooding were detected until water began pouring in over the starboard rails, which subsequently inundated the internal compartments via the stairwells.

Andrew Moll, the chief inspector of marine accidents, described the situation as "irrecoverable" once the yacht leaned beyond 70 degrees. The report outlines that the Bayesian had critical vulnerabilities to lower wind speeds, capable of tipping it over at just 73 mph. Unfortunately, this information was absent from the yacht's stability manual, leading to a lack of awareness from the owner and crew regarding the boat's limitations.

While the investigation continues, no timeline has been established for the release of the final report, as the criminal investigation by Italian authorities complicates access to the wreck site. Recovery efforts to salvage the 56-meter yacht were recently halted after a diver tragically died during the operation.

The report also sheds light on the series of events leading up to the disaster. Prior to the incident, the yacht had reportedly sailed to its sinking location a day earlier to escape forecasted thunderstorms.
