Wisconsin Teen Charged in Parents' Murder Linked to Assassination Plot Against Trump
A 17-year-old high school student has been charged with killing his parents as part of a disturbing plan to assassinate former President Donald Trump, according to FBI statements.
A high school student from Wisconsin named Nikita Casap, 17, has been charged with the tragic killings of his mother, Tatiana Casap, 35, and his stepfather, Donald Mayer, 51, in what investigators claim was part of a sinister plot to assassinate former President Donald Trump. Following the discovery of the victims' bodies at their home in Waukesha on February 28, new court documents have emerged detailing troubling findings related to Casap's activities.
According to the FBI, the suspect's mobile phone contained materials linked to the neo-Nazi group known as the Order of Nine Angles, alongside explicit praise for Adolf Hitler. Antisemitic writings were also found that appeared to elaborate on a plan to kill Trump as part of a broader aim to overthrow the government of the United States. Casap now faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide, along with seven other felony charges such as hiding a corpse and identity theft.
The couple's bodies were located after local officials conducted a welfare check, prompted by Casap's unexplained absence from school for two weeks. Investigators revealed that Mayer died from a gunshot wound to the head, while Casap suffered multiple gunshot wounds on or around February 11, as suggested in the criminal complaint.
On the day the bodies were discovered, law enforcement apprehended Casap in Kansas while he was driving his stepfather's Volkswagen Atlas. In the vehicle, they found a handgun belonging to Mayer, several credit cards belonging to the parents, numerous pieces of jewelry, a tampered safe, and a significant amount of cash—most notably $14,000 hidden inside a Bible.
The investigation indicated that Casap held extremist views and had aspirations of initiating a political revolution by targeting Trump. Notes retrieved during searches suggest he had communicated with individuals in Russia regarding his violent intentions and even considered fleeing to Ukraine after a planned attack.
Substantial evidence suggests that the alleged double murder was intended to secure financial independence and resources to bring his assassination plan to fruition. Casap has a preliminary court hearing scheduled for April 9 and is yet to enter a plea. His next court appearance for arraignment is set for May 7, with his bond set at $1 million.
