NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — A shooting at a country club left multiple gunshot victims, police in New Hampshire reported on Saturday night. According to Nashua police, video surveillance confirmed that there was a single shooter, who is currently being detained by authorities. The police have stated that the scene is still under active investigation, but reassured the public that there is no further danger.

The shooting took place at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, approximately 45 miles northwest of Boston, Massachusetts. Information about the conditions of the victims was not immediately available. An aerial view of the scene, captured by WMUR-TV, showed multiple emergency responders attending to the area. Nashua police used the social platform X to advise citizens to avoid the vicinity of Sky Meadow at this time.

U.S. Representative Maggie Goodlander expressed her concern in a statement, saying she was “closely monitoring the tragic reports of a shooting” and extended her thoughts to the victims, their families, and the Nashua community. Additionally, neighboring Dunstable, Massachusetts, issued a shelter-in-place order in response to the event.
