Ella Langley cancels Tulsa show after security threat call

Country music star Ella Langley cancelled her sold‑out concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Friday night after a phone call warned of a potential gun and bomb threat.
According to the singer’s Instagram post, the threat was serious enough to jeopardise the safety of fans, venue staff and her touring team. The 27‑year‑old added that she made the “incredibly difficult” decision with the safety of everyone in mind.
Tulsa police Lieutenant Richard Meulenberg said the call cited that “great harm would be done” with “shots fired and bombs.” Police officers deployed sniffer dogs to sweep the 19,000‑seat BOK Center after the alert, and found no credible danger.
The BOK Center issued its own statement, noting that the safety and well‑being of the event’s attendees was the top priority. It added the show could not go ahead and apologised for the disappointment.
Langley, who rose to prominence with the chart‑topping single “Choosin’ Texas,” promised she would update fans on refund options as soon as possible. Her record‑breaking hit has already helped her sweep the Academy of Country Music Awards earlier this year.
The cancellation highlighted how unforeseen safety concerns can abruptly alter live‑event plans, even for a sold‑out venue busy with a top‑tier act.
