RIO RICO, Ariz. — The investigation into the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie has seen a development as law enforcement has detained a person for questioning following the release of alarming surveillance footage showing a masked individual outside her home on the night of her disappearance.


According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, the individual was apprehended during a routine traffic stop in the vicinity of Tucson. The sheriff’s office has not disclosed specific information about the detained individual nor their connection to the case.
