Death Toll Rises Amid Continued Attacks
At least seven people were killed in Russian strikes across Ukraine overnight, including five in the central city of Dnipro where officials reported that an apartment building was hit.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the latest attack lasted practically all night, with rescue workers still searching for survivors in Dnipro the following morning.
In response to the heavy bombardment, British jets were scrambled from Romania as Russian drones were detected near the border; however, the UK Ministry of Defence has denied reports stating that any drones were shot down.
Ukraine has also conducted its longest-distance drone strikes into Russian territory, with reports of injuries in Yekaterinburg and near Chelyabinsk from retaliatory strikes targeted towards industrial facilities.
The northern city of Chernihiv was also targeted, where two fatalities were reported, alongside attacks in Odesa and Kharkiv. Ukrainian authorities indicated that they successfully repelled a majority of the 600 drones used in what appears to be one of the largest attacks in recent days.
President Zelensky reiterated that Russia's tactics remain unchanged, primarily targeting infrastructure in urban areas, causing significant damage to residential buildings and energy facilities.

As diplomatic solutions remain elusive, Ukraine is seeking further international assistance, particularly in light of potential military cooperation discussions with Saudi Arabia regarding defense technologies.
