The FBI announced that a series of suspects were arrested in a four‑state attempt to attack a UFC fight that was held on the South Lawn of the White House on Sunday.

Sources say the plot would have used drone aircraft packed with explosives to strike nearby buildings and then employed snipers to draw crowds into a target zone before a second wave of attackers breached the gates.

Kash Patel, the agency’s head, posted on a social‑media platform that the FBI had carried out a multi‑state operation and that alleged attacks were stopped cold.

A suspect was taken into custody in Cincinnati last week and investigators accessed Signal chats in which participants discussed the plan.

The event was part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration and coincided with Trump’s 80th birthday, attracting officials, celebrities and thousands of supporters to the South Lawn.

The US Secret Service confirmed working closely with the FBI and indicated that formal comments will be released in court filings.

The FBI has stated that it is built to detect, respond to and bring to justice those who threaten the lives of American citizens, especially during large gatherings such as the historic UFC 250 fight.
