Ella Langley has cancelled her highly‑anticipated, sold‑out appearance in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a warning of a serious security threat.
Two hours before set‑up, the 27‑year‑old singer posted on Instagram that a phone call had warned of "great harm" to be caused at the BOK Center, including the possibility of shots fired and bombs.
Tulsa Police Chief Richard Meulenberg confirmed the call and said officers conducted a comprehensive sweep of the arena, using sniffer dogs, but could not locate any real danger. He stressed that the show was ready to go, but the threat—unfounded as it may have been—forced the decision to cancel.
Langley issued a heartfelt apology, saying her priority was the safety of her fans, venue staff and touring crew, and promised ticket refunds and further information shortly. The BOK Center echoed the sentiment, stating that the safety and well‑being of all involved made cancellation inevitable.
Langley’s career has seen rapid ascent, with her single "Choosin' Texas" becoming the longest‑running number‑one on the US chart and her sweep of the Academy of Country Music Awards earlier this year. The cancellation marks an unexpected setback for the rising star.
